COMMUNITY DRAINAGE REPAIR PROJECT
Cobb County DOT and its vendors completed the work on Coventry Pt between Drake Manor and McEwen Cir to repair the underground drainage infrastructure.

We are still moving mountains for you!!!
We are excited to announce the installation of a walking trail in our Common field. This trail should allow for a safer exercising environment without zooming cars and animals chasing you down the street.
We will have many nay-sayers on the project!!!
And, we will have plenty who will appreciate a safe space to walk.
So, choose the side of the trail you want to move on.
At the end of the day, you as an individual have to decide upon your own personal enjoyment. If this doesn't suit you, then submit some ideas so that, we can work together on bringing those suggestions to fruitions.
But stop trying to rob others of their pleasure. ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY
The rear border fence backing up to the apartments on Thornton Rd continues to be damaged. We can keep spending money to repair the damage until we catch the uneducated individuals. Or we can leave the opening and build a swing gate for ingress/egress to the apartments. What are your thoughts?
This is very important because our dollars are being wasted fixing the fence every other week. Do keep in mind, the major users of this port hole live within Misty Glen!!!
Pro - It allows for a quick semi-safe access to Thornton Rd shopping!
Con - Once the door is open, who or what else will pass thru?
In addition, please pull your container off the street after collection! It is against the county Ordinance to leave a container on the street beyond the pickup date. Click to learn more

We have allowed grace on NOT issuing FINES due to the inconsistent service from several companies. However, it is still the homeowner's responsibility to follow the Municipal code as well as our community guidelines.
Please call Cobb County Police 911 to report any trespassing on your LOT!!
If you have an exterior camera, then assist the authorities by providing the image/video.

LOT 2007 McEwen Cir Mailbox can't seem to remain on the pole. Therefore, this is public notice of our community standards, and they have (5) days to correct this repeated violation. NO FURTHER WARNINGS for future issues regarding their mailbox.
Any item left in the county right of way can be removed and discarded without notice to the owner! It is considered waste as well as a violation of municipal code.(click to read for yourself)
Or the Association can levy a fine against the violators within MISTY GLEN.
Fence damage/Common Area

Please inform your kids not to climb the fence. This damage will cost HOA $300 to repair. We will pass that fee onward to the lot owner whose resident caused this situation.

These rat holes will lead to community theft and vandalism. We have plugged these holes far too many times! After investigation, it's the residents living in Misty Glen causing the problem. We will prosecute anyone found to be causing this property and monetary damage to our pockets.

COMMUNITY FINAL WARNING
ANY VEHICLE OBSERVED PARKED ON ANY SIDEWALK OR GRASSY AREA OF A LOT WITHIN MISTY GLEN WITHOUT HOA BOARD APPROVAL WILL BE ISSUED:
- An Initial $300 Fine
- A $75 per Diem Fine on consecutive days from the initial observation, and
- A $300 Fine per occurrence.
You can send a written dispute within 10 days of receiving the written fine to present your case.
Please Park your vehicle 1st in the garage and or on the driveway space. [Do Not Park in the grassy area of your LOT]
That is the best protection for your investment.

We ALL previewed our homes and LOT sizes before buying.
If you have multiple vehicles that cannot fit the lot, then it might be time to upgrade your LOT or reduce the number of cars.
Families will grow beyond our starter houses.
If you plan to have guests, then make sure they follow our parking standards, do not blocked street intersections, and do not block driveways.
Be courteous to your neighbor and community.
Let's work for one another and stop trying to buck the RULES we all have to follow.
FENCE UPDATE - FRONT / REAR
Dec.14, 2024 - Fence HIT again in less than 5 days. We are beginning to think these incidents are done on purpose. Why? They are now traveling past the part owned by another homeowner and then turning into the MISTY GLEN portion! How can you hit the same OPEN spot in less than 5 days if it's NOT intentional? Please view the tire marks in the mud.

Look how far they drove to hit our fence! Most importantly, this picture shows the road turn off to strike the fence. Poor fence.

Dec. 10, 2024 - Fence HIT
Oct. 21, 2024 - Well, the rats have opened the rear fence again costing our pockets once more! You have to lay traps to catch pest. Coming soon.
Or we can consider installing a swing gate to allow ingress/egress to Thornton Rd via those apartments. What are your thoughts?
On September 20, 2024, the wood fence upfront was hit YET AGAIN by a driver speeding thru the curve on Cardell Rd.

Here is what we know:
1st - The darker portion of the wood fence belongs to Mr. Davis at 6550 Coventry Pt. It is his responsibility to clean up, repair, and or restore the section of missing fence.
Update: Thanks to Mr. Davis for quickly addressing his section of front fence.

2nd - The license of the negligent driver was suspended prior to the accident. He was not on the car owner's insurance policy, and he was cited for speeding.
3rd - The Association repaired our section of wood fencing and will seek legal advice on reimbursement for damages caused by that driver.

The Association also repaired the rat hole in the rear wood fence as well.


Again, this damage is being caused by individuals living in our community!!!

If you recognize your kids, then please advise them not to crawl thru, jump over, kick out, and or damage our property. The Association will prosecute anyone caught vandalizing our property going forward and charge the HOA account of the LOT owner responsible for such damage.
Also, please clean up after yourselves when using any part of our community. You would NOT enjoy the Association tossing trash into your yard. So, do not trash our streets. This area of property belongs to the 2 rear houses on Coventry Pt.
So, please be respectful to your neighbors, to our community, and to yourselves.

- Pick up and throw litter in a trash can near your lot; Pull TRASH containers from the street no later than 8am the next day after pickup. The Board will start issuing $100 fines for non-compliance
- Drive the speed limit (watch for our kids)
- Maintain the proper noise level
- Be Safe
